Highly recommend this excursion. Our guide was so knowledgeable and shared lots of facts along the way. We were so lucky to see a juvenile humpback fin thrashing in the bay. So memorable. - Richard

Everything was very well organized, and the team was friendly and professional. You should definitely be prepared for the sea conditions -- if you tend to get seasick, it's worth taking precautions, as the waves can get quite strong further out at sea. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales (we know there's no guarantee), but we did spot plenty of seals, which was still great. Overall, it was a good experience. - Sophie

We had a fantastic experience with Ocean Safaris in Plettenberg, from the exiting launch from the beach into the sea, to the even more dramatic full-speed head-on return to the beach and, most importantly, the fabulous wildlife experience in-between. First, we were taken to the nearby seal colony where we saw hundreds of cape fur seals lazing around on the rocks and playing around the boat. Then the skipper spotted southern right whales and we headed towards their location. The skipper had to follow regulations, which means the boat is not permitted to get too close to the whales but we still got to within about 50 metres and the engine was cut. We were treated to the beautiful spectacle of two southern right whales lolling about on the surface, accompanied by at least fifty seals, playing with them. We were so close we could hear the whales breath. UNFORGETTABLE. - Tony
