What about Rabies:

We want to keep you in the loop about the recent rabies outbreak in seals. We’re closely monitoring the situation with the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism and Cape Nature. While there have been a few isolated cases, we’re continuing our activities with some extra safety measures to ensure everyone’s well-being.

We’ll keep you informed about rabies risks and our approach to managing them. Our team has put additional protective steps in place, and we have spotters watching for any unusual seal behavior.

Our local hospital is well-prepared for any seal bite injuries, with trained staff and vaccines on hand, just in case.

We also carry first aid supplies for bite wounds and make sure our guides stay close while you’re in the water, ready to help if needed. To keep the seals calm and ensure you have a great experience, we’ve slightly reduced the time spent in the water.

If you’re feeling a bit uneasy, no problem! You can choose to join a viewing trip instead, which is just as enjoyable. The choice is completely yours, and we’re here to make your experience safe and fun!

Customer Reviews

The whale watching excursion was highly enjoyable. Our guide made a commendable effort to first locate seals, after which we commenced our search for whales. During this period, we observed a shark in the vicinity. Subsequently, we received information regarding a whale's location, enabling us to capture some remarkable photographs. - Renan Machado

Very fun experience! We saw many dolphins, lots of seals, and even a shark! Everything was great, and the guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Highly recommended experience.! - Josefina Hornos

Nice outing, a bit late in season, therefore not much to see. Think you should shorten Wale watching to end by october. Restrict outing to 20 perons per Boot max and do not take Kids under the age of 10. - Peter Schreier

Thank you we really enjoyed our time with the guides. He was entertaining and knowledgeable. New were to take us to get good access to see the dolphins, seals and yes a mother and her baby whale feeding We mostly done videos so no pics to share - Alaison Kenny

Great experience with very motivated and experienced staff - Nina leys
